Maidenhead Easter 2025 18th April

Today, I ran in the Maidenhead Easter 10 race. It was a short but exciting race, and I had been looking forward to it all week. The sun was shining, and there were lots of people watching and cheering. I felt ready and excited to race.

As the race started, I ran hard and quickly got into 6th place. There were a few fast runners ahead of me, but I didn’t let that stop me. I stayed focused and kept pushing myself, one step at a time. I knew I had to stay strong and keep going.

As we got closer to the finish line, I had moved up to 2nd place. I could see the person in front of me, and I knew this was my chance to try and win. I ran faster, hoping to pass him and take the lead. My heart was beating fast, and my legs were working hard.

When I tried to overtake him, I got blocked. There wasn’t much space, and I couldn’t get around him right away. But I didn’t give up. I waited for a small gap to open, and as soon as I saw it, I sprinted with all my power to get in front.

In those last few seconds, I gave it everything I had. I ran faster than I thought I could. I passed him just in time and crossed the finish line in first place! I was so happy and proud to win the race after such a tough battle.

The race was 820 metres long, and my pace was 3 minutes and 43 seconds per kilometre. It was a brilliant day, and I’ll never forget how good it felt to win. I can’t wait for the next race!
